I love the freedom to create the life I want (having my own business)

I worked in the corporate world for seven years- made a great salary- and hated every minute of it! I was wasting my God-given talents of vision and creativity... and was clearly not doing what I was "born" to do. The ability to affect someone's everyday life by creating their "interior world" is so incredibly rewarding, there's just no salary that compares to that warm, fuzzy feeling! :) I've also found that our services as decorators/designers are very easily bartered with other professionals (traded for dental services, computer tech help, etc...) which is a wonderful bonus! I love what I do, and there's true value to it- we should all feel very honored to have the gift of design...

What do I enjoy most about being an interior designer? I never get tired of the joy and relief on client's faces when they see a completed project or even small steps being completed. They angst over every decision, finally put their trust in me but still worry a bit, until they see our mutual ideas come to life and now have a home or a room they can be proud
of. I want every client to walk into their home each time and simply go "Aaaaah, I'm home."

Being able to be creative and make beautiful rooms in a different space every time I'm called to do a job. I never get tired of it.

Look forward to your emails! Kudos to you!
